Colorado Belle $1.00 brass insert varieties-type I
as discovered by Lee Kraft

These two chips are identical in all markings, etc. except the brass insert on the left hand chip is bright and shinny. The brass insert chip on the right hand is dull. Could this be that the chip starts out bright and shinny and through constant table use is gets dull or are two different alloys used.

Colorado Belle $1.00 brass insert varieties-type II

Unlike the chips at the left, these two have the lettering
filled in. This is one noticeable difference between the two chips on the left and these two chips. There is also another difference between these two chips. On the outer ring the words "Colorado Belle" on the left chip is centered under one of the inserts, where the one on the right the lettering starts at the left side of the insert. The chip on the right is the first issue, as it is the same as the $5, $25 & $100.
